More About Kyle

Founder and Director of Unbound Ministries

Kyle Prichard has served as the founding pastor of Bethany Church in Tazewell, Tennessee since its launch in 2017. From the beginning, he and his team felt a strong calling to engage deeply in addiction ministry and to create a church culture rooted in hope, healing, and practical support for those impacted by substance use disorder. In 2024, Kyle earned his degree in Bible and Theology from Lee University, further strengthening his theological foundation for ministry and leadership.

In 2021, Kyle helped launch Live Free Claiborne, a nonprofit organization focused on recovery support and harm reduction in East Tennessee. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board. His work in the field began in 2020 through stigma reduction trainings developed in partnership with the University of Tennessee Department of Public Health. From 2022 through 2025, he led a grant-funded initiative to mentor and equip 10 faith leaders across East Tennessee in addiction ministry. Kyle is also a certified recovery coach (since 2021) and works closely with the faith-based initiative under the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. His work has included organizing and facilitating “Faith and Recovery” conferences across multiple counties, as well as presenting at major national and regional events, including the Rx Summit (2025 poster presenter and 2026 speaker) and the 2026 Paths to Recovery Conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

In 2026, Kyle launched Unbound Ministries, a movement focused on helping people walk in lasting freedom through practical recovery support, spiritual formation, and equipping faith communities to respond effectively to addiction and mental health challenges.

Kyle is passionate about bridging the gap between faith communities and behavioral health systems, helping leaders respond to addiction with both compassion and competence. He is supported in ministry by his wife, Elora, a licensed clinical social worker currently pursuing her doctorate in social work, and is proud of his daughter Rebecca, also a social worker. At home, he enjoys time with his grandson Elijah and their Yorkie, Franklin. When he’s not preaching, training, or developing recovery initiatives, Kyle enjoys gourmet cooking—often saying his love language is feeding people. He also brings a genuine sense of humor into his speaking and teaching, helping create an atmosphere that is both engaging and approachable.

Kyle’s depth of experience, practical expertise, and genuine love for people make him an engaging and impactful speaker for conferences, trainings, and community events. He brings both credibility and compassion to every setting, equipping audiences with tools for real-world change and renewed hope.
